CMA Take Part in the Traffic Safety Exhibition

16 October 2012 - 18 October 2012

The Capital Market Authority participated in the Traffic Safety Exhibition which was organized by Royal Oman Police  during the period 16-18 October 2012. CMA’s participation, as regulator and supervisor of the insurance sector, focused on educating the public and the drivers about the importance of insurance sector and its role in regulating the capital and insurance sectors and its relation to reducing traffic accidents.

CMA has recently introduced new amendments to the Unified Motor Insurance Policy which include incentives to prudent drivers by obligating insurers to grant no claim discounts and imposing financial obligations on the persons with frequent accidents so as to create self- regulation.

CMA’s stand comprised publications, insurance quiz and children’s paintings on the sidelines of the exhibition in which they drew traffic awareness paintings urging the children to take care while crossing the road.
