The  Capital Market Authority will participate in the Traffic Safety Exhibition which will be organized by Royal Oman Police during the period 11-14 November 2013. CMA’s participation, as supervisor of the insurance sectors, will focus on the education of the public in general and drivers in particular on the importance of the insurance sector and its role in supervising the capital market and insurance sector and its relation to reducing traffic accidents

CMA has recently introduced new amendments to the Unified Motor Insurance Policy which includes incentives to prudent drivers by obligating insurers to grant no claim discounts and imposing financial obligations on the persons with frequent accidents so as to create self- regulation.

CMA’s stand comprised publications, insurance quiz and children’s paintings on the sidelines of the exhibition in which they drew traffic awareness paintings urging the children to take care while crossing the road.
