The media publishes   from time to time promotional advertisings  on establishment of closed joint stock companies and raising funds from the public for investment purposes. The Capital Market Authority, although encourages  investment activities of benefit to the investors and the national economy, would like to notify that inviting the public to subscribe in shares is restricted to the establishment of public joint stock companies  pursuant to the provisions of the Capital Market Law and Commercial Companies Law.

 

Thus, to comply with the applicable laws and to protect the funds of investors CMA calls on the public to abide by the provisions of the Capital Market Law and the Regulation and to take due diligence and contact the Capital Market Authority and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to inquire about the procedures for establishment of various types of  commercial companies in the Sultanate.
