CMA presents job opportunities in the insurance sector in Sohar University

01 March 2015

CMA participates in the Annual Job Fair organized by Sohar University during 23rd-25th February. CMA aims through its participation to introduce colleges’ students in Sohar to the roles and responsibilities undertaken by the insurance sector in the national economic system that represents a main element of the requirements of comprehensive development programmes. It also aims to present job opportunities in the sector for Omanis in various specializations; administration, accounting, financing and IT. This is considered  an opportunity for identifying the nature of jobs that those students may be employed in after graduation or by joining training programmes of insurance companies that adds higher value to their participants.

CMA encourages insurance companies that participate in such introductory events to recognize specializations of colleges and universities, and get close to students and encourage them to join the insurance sector. Noting that the insurance sector achieved growth in Omanization percentage in 2014, as the un-audited statistics of the sector indicate that the percentage reached 68%.

CMA’s concern to market the job opportunities in the insurance sector comes in line with the significant efforts it pays to increase the insurance sector’s participation in the GDP, and in promoting the economic added value of the sector. CMA has been working hard for years to qualify national cadres through training programmes that furnish them with required skills that suit the sector’s requirements, changes and development. These effort are also motivated by CMA’s believe in government’s endeavor related to Omanization policy and private sector’s cooperation cooperation in employing national manpower.
