CMA Board Approves Rules for the Sale of Distressed Securities

In its third meeting this year, CMA Board of Directors approved the rules for selling distressed securities which comes within the efforts aimed to promote the regulative and legislative infrastructure of the capital market sector through setting proper mechanisms for protecting investors and dealers in the market, and providing best standards and procedures for facing practices to be considered as risks to concerned parties. This is reflected in the capital market’s ability in attracting local and foreign capitals and promote its role in the national economy system. 

The rules enables licensed companies to act as brokers in selling distressed securities during the legal settlement period as per specific regulative frames and mechanisms.
