CMA Introduces its Employees to First Aid’s Essentials

CMA in cooptation with Al Nahda Hospital organized a training programme on First Aid with participation of a number of CMA’s employees who were introduced to basic skills and knowledge of first aid requirements that is considered the first immediate and temporary care for human being in case of emergency health condition occurs. 

The programme discussed the concept and importance of first aid and the need for this culture in public life with the accidents occurring around. It also discussed the way of taking first aid evaluation decision, first aid’s ethics of conduct, required tools for its practice, and scientific way of use for avoiding side effects.

The lecturer also introduce participants to the way of revival of heart and breathing after sudden attack that requires quick intervention for reviving the sufferer in 3 to 5 minutes in order to reduce complication like damage of body cells and especially brain cells. He explained the reasons of sudden heart attacks that are; electric shocks, drowning, overdose of drugs and injuries resulted from accidents in general. Severe allergies caused by insect bites or heart diseases may also cause heart attacks. He presented the steps of first aid in case of heart attacks that have to be taken in the first 4 minutes to avoid brain cells damage, otherwise if the succor is late to 4-10 minutes, brain cells damage is very likely to occur.

It is worth to mention regarding the importance of first aid that some western communities include first aids test as a graduation requirement for school students.
