CMA Launches new Website and Celebrates its Anniversary

The Capital Market Authority Launched its new web site on its anniversary in a ceremony  under the auspices of HE Yahya Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Daqum Special Economic Zone and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market. The event was attended by official from CMA, MSM and MCDC.

 

Employees who completed 15 years in services were honoured as well as employees who resigned from the service at the end of 2013.

 

HE Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of CMA gave speech in which he said the celebration is an opportunity to evaluate and review the achievements and to prepare for continuation of the process.

 

Al Salmi said man is the essence of institutional work and the real investment is in human thought, hence CMA is looking for ways to develop and upgrade the employees so as to cope with the local and international developments in the capital market and insurance sectors to achieve the objects of CMA and to maintain its reputation.

 

He added “ Today we review the achievements of the past year and aiming toward development and growth in line with the requirements of the era to lay a solid foundation in all legislative and regulatory aspects for the sake of fairness, efficiency and transparency.” He confirmed that the nature of CMA’s work combines legislation, regulation, audit, accounting, economics and management whether in the capital market or insurance sector which would enrich our experience and knowledge. We also need to cope with the rapidly moving world and follow up the developments to be able to understand the change and participate in the development of the financial sector in the Sultanate to add economic value to this nation and to create competition in order to  be a nation of a world class. We are working to improve and develop CMA on the internal work level and international relations level. We hope to continue observing the values and principles, in particular, confidence and credibility to improve the performance  and to attract more talents. We are proud of you and your performance and we have confidence in your capabilities and fruitful work.

 

HE added that he thanks all the employees for their constructive role and diligent efforts which contributed to the success of the organization. “ I also commend the continuous cooperation of our brothers in MSM, MCDC, Omani Securities Association and the Insurance Association as such cooperation is a significant pillar in the success of our business as well the cooperation and understanding we received from  companies and institutions we deal with.

 

 A number of employees expressed their happiness for such appreciation. Mahmoud Al Rawahi, stock market expert said he is pleased to express his happiness for the success of the process after more than twenty years in service. He thanked the  management of CMA and all who worked with him for their support. 

 

He added that there are pillars for success in work which are loyalty, honesty, responsibility,  discipline, initiative and continued education.

 

Mohammed Said Al Darei said he is happy for being honoured as this would encourage the other employees to exert more efforts  for better performance in the organization on the administrative and professional levels, and would contribute in increasing productivity and constructive interaction between the organization and the employees.

 

Sulaiman Al Siyabi said honouring employees for their efforts and appreciation of their performance is a good gesture  and would cement the brotherly relationship between the employees of the organization as well as  between them and the management to achieve the  objects and upgrade the work. He added the event is an evidence of the management’s awareness that  incentives to the employees enhance the performance.

 

Huamid Al Hosni expressed his pleasure for being honoured and said the employee needs moral fuel for inspiration and motivation.
