CMA approves the results of subscription of Methaq Sukuk (Musharakah)

After the successful closure of the first issue of Sukuk (Musharakah )of Methaq Sukuk Company, at RO 25 million in public subscription, the Capital Market Authority has approved the allocation of the Sukuk to the subscribers in accordance with the subscription results at RO 44,608,300 for 44,608,300 certificates.

 

The initial results indicates high turnout for subscription from retail and institutional investors. Retail investors were 23.5% at 364 investors and the institutional investors represented 76.5% at 19 institutions. The indicative yield is 5% accruing semi- annually and the maturity date is 13 June  2022.

 

The subscription results indicates the confidence and desire of investors to  invest in the securities market as well as indication of liquidity which can be used in the activation of the wheels of the national economy in huge productive projects to create more jobs for the youth beside the other economic and social benefits.
