CMA Receives Delegation of the Iraqi Securities Commission

An official discussion  meeting was held  between  the Capital Market Authority and the Iraqi Securities Commission at the premises of the CMA to discuss the ways for cooperation between the two countries in the capital markets, exchange of expertise in the regulation of the institutions operating in the securities industry and the methods for enhancing the regulation and supervision to upgrade the capital markets in the two countries.

The Iraqi delegation, which was chaired by Hassan Al Akaily, Chairman of the Iraqi  Securities Commission,  visited the CMA, Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) and Muscat Clearing and Depository Company (MCD) to acquaint with the regulatory infrastructure of the sector in addition to the trading operations of the MSX and their progress, key investment products traded on the stock exchange as well as the role of MCD in safekeeping the registers of shareholders, after buy and sell  processes and other services.
