Disclosure:

Disclosure is the act of  providing and availing all information  related to securities markets on timely basis and accurately whether such information relates to disclosure of interests or financial statement or material information or decisions affecting price movement of the traded security . Such information shall be available in complete and accurate manner from specific and known source such as Muscat Stock Exchange’s website at the same time to enable the investors to take informed investment decisions.

Material information

Material information is the information that their disclosure have a substantial effect on the price of the security or investment decisions of the market participants or the trends of trading in the market. Such information may have positive of negative effect on the company’s share. They differ from a company to another according to the business of the company.

Financial Statements

Financial information  with material effect disclosed by the listed company at specified timings. They are divided into audited annual financial statements and unaudited quarterly financial statements. They include the  following statements: Income statement, statement of financial position, statement of cash flow, statement of change in equity and the notes.”

Every person who has access to undisclosed material information by virtue  of their status or position including directors, executive management  and every person who obtain information through  family or personal or employment connections etc.
